"There is a lot of talk about empowering women. In health care, providers have a great opportunity to do just that. Educating, treating and involving women in their health is what I see as our mission," says Dr. Trietsch. "By guiding and advocating for women through life changes in wellness and sickness we can accomplish this mission."

Dr. Fitzgerald believes that "the challenge as a physician in Ob/Gyn includes providing healthcare to women as they travel through the very dynamic, life-changing events of their lives. Each stage of life carries with it very distinct health issues, which requires that sensitivity, respect, and dignity be provided by each of us in our practice."

"Going to see the doctor can be a very intimidating experience to a lot of women. It is our job as health care professionals to make this process more comfortable. We need to be accessible, open, and accepting. Good healthcare is a given, the minimum that any patient deserves and expects. Partnering with the patient in her own healthcare - that is a sign of excellence."

Dr. Case attended Wesleyan University for her undergraduate studies and obtained her Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Medical Center, and is Board Certified in Ob/Gyn.

Outside of the office, Dr. Case enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. They enjoy spending time outdoors, especially on the local hiking trails and bike paths. When the weather is too harsh for outdoor activities, Dr. Case also takes pleasure in scrap-booking.

"I was raised by teachers, and that upbringing has shaped my medical practice.  Knowledge is empowering.  I love to teach my patients about medicine as it relates to their special concerns, such as a transition through adolescence or menopause, or issues relating to medications, Pap smears, surgery, or pregnancy.  We do a lot of talking in my office, and I learn as much from my patients as I hope they do from me.  The dialogue we create is

crucial to my goal of helping patients make healthy and educated decisions that will enhance their lives."

Dr. Jennifer Hallowell attended Dartmouth College for her Bachelor of Arts degree, and went on to earn her Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine.  She completed her residency at Baystate Medical Center where she was presented with an award by the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons for her outstanding surgical skills.  She is currently a Clinical Associate at Tufts University School of Medicine and is board certified in Ob/Gyn.

Ollari
"I believe the key to providing high quality medical care is to create a partnership with the patient. Being able to carefully listen to patients enables me to offer appropriate choices that best fit with my patients' individual needs. One of the most enjoyable aspects of my practice is participating in the development of mutual trust that builds between a patient and doctor. When this happens it facilitates the care of the patient and enables both parties to feel comfortable with the interaction, and to bring forth any concerns or questions that they may have."

Dr. Christopher Ollari earned his Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude from Yale University, and his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester. He completed his residency at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Ollari has participated in many research projects throughout his medical career, including ovarian malignancies and neurodevelopmental genes. He is a current member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

"In this internet age, I feel my role as a clinician is not just to educate women but to help them sift through the abundance of available information in order for women to make informed decisions about their health.  I believe active participation is an important part of optimizing the relationship between a patient and her physician.  I also appreciate these relationships and feel I benefit from them as I strive to become a better physician."

Dr. Junnila earned her undergraduate degree with high honors from Swarthmore College and her medical degree from the University of Washington .  She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Medical Center , where she earned awards for her laprascopic surgical skills as well as mentoring and inspiring resident physicians through poise, humor, and compassion.

"My father sent me off to medical school with the following words of wisdom:  'When you want to know about a medical condition, ask the patient, not the doctor.'"

"Throughout my career I have found this to be excellent advice, keeping in mind that it's important not only to listen, but to hear what a patient is saying. I believe the real challenge in practicing medicine is guiding patients through their medical and surgical experiences   with a sense of awareness and dignity, so that they

emerge both physically and psychologically intact."

Dr. Shifrin earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College and his Medical Degree from West Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Hartford Hospital.
