Kelly Ostrowski, CNM earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College and her Master of Science: Nurse-Midwifery & Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Degree from The Ohio State University. Kelly went on to start her career as a midwife in the hills of Appalachia in East Tennessee. After practicing in Tennessee for a few years, she followed her passion and returned to the Pioneer Valley in the Spring of 2019 where she has been midwifing ever since.

Kelly joined the midwifery team at Baystate Ob/Gyn Group, Inc. early in 2020. She brought with her a strong foundation in midwifery. From independent, highly personalized birth center care including water birth to co-management of women with more complicated pregnancies and hospital birth, Kelly’s experience with various practice models and collaborative teams have imparted a unique perspective, and have given her a well-balanced, evidenced-based, woman and family-centered approach in midwifery. She is passionate about normalizing well woman care, pregnancy, and birth, advocating for physiologic birth but with a healthy respect for intervention when necessary.

Kelly values the diversity of the populations she has worked with and the connections made with each of them. She speaks Russian and some Spanish, something she hopes to study further while utilizing the resources here in the Pioneer Valley.

Aside from midwifery, Kelly enjoys exploring the outdoors camping and hiking with her husband and hound dog. She loves to spend time with family and travel to see them and friends across the U.S. and the globe.
