Dr. Trietsch joined Dr. David Shifrin, the founding partner of Baystate Ob/Gyn Group (BOGG) in 1987, as the very first partner, and over the decades has proved himself as a leader in not only our practice, but in the greater Springfield medical community. As the former Managing Partner of the practice, he has been instrumental to the growth of professionalism and breadth of services provided by our practitioner staff to include Midwifery and Nurse Practitioners, and has continually strived to assure that our patients are receiving the very best in care. He was the keystone in our establishment of community offices, making BOGG the most comprehensive and geographically accessible Ob/Gyn private practice in the Pioneer Valley.
Dr. Trietsch’s collaborative nature and leadership style serves not only the practice, as is demonstrated by his close involvement in the western Massachusetts healthcare community. The trust placed in Dr. Trietsch by his peers is a testament to his commitment to ensuring quality, stable and accessible healthcare. He is the immediate past President of the Greater Springfield Independent Practice Association. In the past, Dr. Trietsch has served as the Vice President of the Western Mass Obstetrics/Gynecology Society, President of Ob/Gyn staff of Baystate Medical Center, as well as a member of the Board of Trustess for Baystate Health Systems.

By guiding and advocating for women through life changes in wellness and sickness we can accomplish this mission."
Outside of his professional career, Dr. Trietsch also invests his energy and skills by maintaining an active role in his community…he is a past President of the Springfield Jewish Community Center Board of Directors and has served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Springfield.
In his time away from work, Dr. Trietsch enjoys being a Yankees fan and enjoys the outdoors year round, fishing, cycling, and spending time with his family and friends boating, hiking, and snowshoeing.
