Clinician's Choice™ Iso Guard

Clinician’s Choice Women’s Iso Guard uses isoflavones to provide a natural alternative to hormone replacement therapy, delivering relief during the three phases of menopause while promoting bone health and protecting against heart disease

What is menopause?

Menopause is not a medical disease or medical condition. Rather, it is a natural transition that happens to all women signifying the end of fertility. It is the result of decreased production of the sex hormones, estrogen and progesterone, by the ovaries.

The first phase is perimenopause. Perimenopause literally means "around menopause." It is the time immediately prior to menopause (lasting from 6-13 years) when physical changes begin. During perimenopause, the ovaries’ production of estrogen gradually decreases. Women experience a number of physical changes including irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats and PMS-like mood swings. Some women feel achy. Others feel tired and have difficulty remembering things. Additional symptoms include: insomnia, anxiety, headaches, sleep disturbances, heart palpitations, and vaginal dryness. There are also some women who do not experience any symptoms at all.

The second phase is the actual onset of menopause. Menopause occurs when the ovaries produce so little estrogen that menstrual periods cease. A woman has reached menopause when she has gone 12 consecutive months without having a period. The average age of menopause is 51, but I can occur anywhere from the early forties to mid fifties. If a woman smokes, she is likely to enter menopause about two years earlier than average.

The third phase, post menopause refers to the time of life following menopause. The lower estrogen levels after menopause greatly increase a woman’s vulnerability to heart disease and osteoporosis.

Who should take Women’s Iso Guard?

bulletMost perimenopausal, menopausal or
post-menopausal women not on traditional hormone
replacement therapy.

Distinct active ingredients and patient benefits

bulletEach tablet contains 60mg of isoflavins. Isoflavins
are plant sterols, so they function similarly to
estrogens (steroids). They are also powerful
antioxidants.
bulletWomen’s Iso Guard contains isoflavins from Soy,
Red Clover, and Kudzu Root. The majority of the
isoflavins come from Soy.
bulletIsoflavins help relieve hot flashes and night sweats
associated with menopause
bulletFor women with low estrogen levels, the estrogenic
activity of isoflavins helps to maintain bone health.
bulletFor women with normal or higher than normal levels
of estrogens, isoflavins are thought to act by binding
to estrogen receptors and displacing natural
estrogens. This phyto-estrogenic activity has a
positive effect on estrogen receptors in the breast,
ovaries, and endometrium.
bulletPantothenic Acid and Vitamin B6, which are building
blocks for hormones, have been added to help
maintain hormonal balance.
bulletCalcium has been added to maintain and promote
strong bones.
