Dogs and Storks - Preparing for Life with Baby

Preparing for your baby's arrival can be an exciting time for everyone involved.   If your family includes a canine member, please keep them in mind as well!  The two-hour Dogs and Storks workshop at the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society offers positive, practical, and fun solutions to help expectant parents with dogs prepare before the baby arrives (preferably early in the pregnancy).  The DPVHS advises that expectant parents should not wait until the baby comes home as unexpected problems can lead to increased stress for the whole family (including the dog); preparations should be made early in the pregnancy to allow for proper adjustments and planning.  "Preparing ahead decreases stress and increases success!"
