Pelvic Physical Therapy
Some patients experiencing pelvic floor problems may benefit from physical therapy. Carolyn S. Bentley, DPT, M.Ed, PT, LMT has been practicing physical therapy for over 35 years and specializes in pelvic floor problems. Since 2009 she has focused her work on problems associated with the pelvic floor. Her background in musculoskeletal disorders and intensive training in pelvic floor disorders supports her work in the physical therapy intervention of pelvic floor dysfunction. She provides evaluation and treatment of male, female and pediatric patients with pelvic floor weakness (stress, urge, mixed incontinence, pre-post prostatectomy, organ prolapse), pelvic pain (coccydynia, pudendal neuralgia, dypareunia, proctatitis, vulvodynia, vaginismis), colorectal disorders (fecal incontinence, IBS constipation), gastrointestinal problems (Interstitial Cystitis), and pre and post natal problems (diastasis recti, pubic symphysis irritation/tear).
