If you are wondering if you are pregnant and more than 2 weeks late for your period, we can perform a simple pregnancy test in our office.  Please call the office location most convenient for you to schedule your pregnancy test.

After your pregnancy is confirmed - scheduling your appointments:

Our practice is dedicated to meeting your individual needs throughout your entire pregnancy.  You can choose to receive your Ob care from our physicians or certified nurse midwives, depending on your health and personal needs.

Once your pregnancy is confirmed at a medical office (we can perform urine pregnancy tests in any of our offices), we will schedule appointments for your "ob history" and "ob physical."  We will also give you paperwork that you will need to complete regarding your personal and family health history prior to your ob history appointment.  This will enable you and the nurse to review your health history and go over any questions you may have.  Your ob history will be performed by one of our ob nurses ( Kathy Heger and Liz Avalone), certified nurse midwives, or nurse practitioners.  Your ob physical, performed by one of our physicians, nurse practitioners, or certified nurse midwives, will be similar to an annual gyn exam.  After your ob physical, you will need to come in on a regular basis for your "ob checks" to follow your health and the health of your baby during the pregnancy.  We have designed our appointment schedules with you in mind – we do our best to make routine pregnancy visits available at different times of the day with our obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, and certified family nurse practitioners, on different days of the week at our five office locations.  Providing this flexibility allows you to choose appointments that best suit your schedule.   You are also free to choose the providers that you will see for your routine appointments given their appointment availability.

If you have any urgent medical needs during your pregnancy, you can call our offices to speak to our ob nurse.  After hours, the physician or certified nurse midwife on call will be paged by our answering service.
