Parallel to Dr. Thompson’s passion for clinical excellence is her commitment to making individual connections with patients through a foundation of effective communication.  She finds great satisfaction in being able to share knowledge, knowing that the dynamic nature of healthcare requires constant learning not only from scientific advancements but also from patients’ experiences, questions, and circumstances.

"I most enjoy spending time with my patients so that I can understand and prioritize their goals, while practicing the evidence-based medicine that I have learned through my formal education and training, and continue to learn as new information becomes available."

Dr. Thompson's clinical interests include contraceptive management, gynecologic surgery and complex obstetric care; she also has advanced ability in written and conversational Spanish.  When not in the office or at the hospital, Dr. Thompson spends her time outside with her family, enjoying trail running, hiking and mountain biking, as well as cooking and gardening.
