Rebekah Perks' drive to achieve educational excellence is mirrored in the exceptional, thorough care she provides to her patients. With over 25 years of extensive, diverse experience in fields related to women’s health, Rebekah enjoys listening to and talking with women about their questions and concerns and providing as much information as possible so that they can make informed decisions about their health.
"Listening is the most important part of my practice as a nurse practitioner. By listening well, I strive to consider all aspects of a client’s health, including physical symptoms as well as emotional, social, and spiritual factors. Using this information, I work as a team with each patient, offering my advice and tailoring solutions to meet the individual’s needs."
Rebekah's experiences include a common thread of diversity. As a past member of the Yale School of Nursing Diversity Committee, she worked to promote inclusion of minority voices in Yale curriculum and to increase diversity among the student body and faculty. As a founding member of "Outright Vermont" from 1989 through 1999, Rebekah helped to create a non-profit organization to meet the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.
Rebekah is certified as a nurse practitioner in women's health and adult primary care. She is certified as a menopause practitioner through the North American Menopause Society. Outside of the office, Rebekah enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, and enjoying the outdoors.
