Kelly Tull, WHNP

Experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) providing gyn care with a focus on prevention and education

Appointments available in Springfield

Kelly Tull, WHNP knew early in her education that she wanted to focus her college experience on the unique specialty of women’s health.  Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with a minor in Women’s Studies and specific coursework in Women’s Health from Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis and went on to earn her Master of Science: Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati Graduate Program.  Outside of Kelly’s formal degrees, she has expanded her knowledge and skills through programs such as Indiana University’s Leadership Development Institute, the CDC’s Sexually Transmitted Disease Intensive, and community programs focused on HIV prevention and pregnancy planning. Kelly is currently working to gain her AASECT certification as a sexuality counselor. With this additional education she hopes to provide additional services for her patients to help improve their overall sexual health and satisfaction.

Kelly’s previous positions as a management level Registered Nurse gave her a valuable blend of hands on clinical experience and insight into healthcare administration.  Since 2016 Kelly has concentrated her career on providing compassionate, quality care to women as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, with a strong emphasis on education and prevention.   Kelly works in collaboration with our physicians and provider colleagues, providing advanced practice gynecologic services such as annual well-woman exams, contraception counseling and management, infection screening and treatment, sexually transmitted disease prevention education, and more.  Maintaining open communication with patients and staff alike is at the heart of Kelly’s clinical practice.

"My goals when providing care to my patients are to educate, empower, and interact. I strive to provide education on women's health, sexual health, and reproductive health. I want to empower my patients to feel comfortable being an advocate for themselves and take command of their bodies and the decisions that are made about them. I think honest and open communication and interaction is very important. I love when my patients ask questions, because that's the only way I can learn what they need to know. No judgements, just answers!"

With well-established roots in community involvement, Kelly has been proud to Preceptor many student nurses over the years and feels especially fulfilled through making positive contributions to the future of healthcare for generations to come.

Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys hiking, painting, and live music.
