With over twenty years of tenure at Baystate Ob/Gyn Group, Cindy Kennedy has cared for many women in our community throughout their pregnancies and deliveries, and today she is seeing many of their adolescent daughters for their first gynecologic visits. Her ability to relate to women on a personal level makes her a favorite among teens, mothers, and grandmothers alike, and her warm friendliness and sincerity is backed by experienced competency.  During her Nurse Practitioner schooling, her primary care training ranged from infant care to adolescent medicine to geriatrics.

"Educating the patient about her own ability to make positive changes, which will improve the quality of her life, is a goal I strive to meet. Each patient is unique, with issues that affect not only her, but often times her family. She deserves a provider who will listen and guide her in making appropriate healthcare decisions."

Cindy's background in nursing helped to provide a strong core for her advanced nurse practitioner training.  Earlier in her career, she advanced her nursing skills while employed at Beth Israel Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.  After working as a labor and delivery nurse at Baystate Medical Center, Cindy spent 11 years as the Obstetrical Nurse Coordinator for our practice. In her present role as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Cindy provides a broad spectrum of routine women’s health care with a special interest in adolescent health care and education related to healthy lifestyles.

Cindy and her husband reside in East Longmeadow.  After raising three daughters who are now young adults, she has lived through the "teenage years" first hand.   Cindy enjoys hiking, Pilates and yoga as well as cardio exercise and weight training. Most of all she enjoys cooking and being with her family
