Esther Shin, CNM joined our practice after working with us in 2021 during her midwifery clinical integration for her Certificate in Midwifery through the Baystate Midwifery Education Program. Partnering with Baystate Health for Esther’s integration allowed our providers to observe firsthand Esther’s natural ability to deliver the core fundamentals of midwifery care and to collaborate with Esther on her educational goals in midwifery.
Prior to entering her midwifery career, Esther’s educational background included years of work in healthcare with an Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and finally a Master of Science in Midwifery. Esther’s experience in healthcare has been rooted in many years of work as a Registered Nurse, in settings ranging from surgical care, labor and delivery, and obstetrics. Throughout her work in women’s healthcare, Esther’s focus has been on partnering with patients and their families to provide support and guidance, whether through challenges or triumphs.
"As a midwife, my goal is to provide education and holistic care for every person I see for pregnancy or gyn care, taking into account the many different factors that can influence well-being. I strive to provide individualized care that supports each person’s informed and empowered decisions when navigating health and wellness."
Esther is a former volunteer for Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit organization for safe and healthy housing, and Medical Aid to Haiti. She is also fluent in Korean. Outside of Esther’s career in midwifery, she enjoys baking and reading. She has a passion for food and finds the most joy when people are enjoying her home-cooked meals.
