Sarah Thayer, CNM - Perinatal Mental Health Certification
Staying on the forefront of women’s health topics is very important to our providers, especially through continuing education opportunities!
Sarah Thayer, CNM from our practice is working towards a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. As of April, 2024, Sarah has completed 20 hours of continuing education training specific to evaluation and management of perinatal mood disorders and mental health conditions in pregnancy and the postpartum year.
Sarah shares that “Pregnancy is a unique and special time in the lives of expectant families. While pregnancy and birth are often associated with joyful experiences, we know the importance of supporting mental health as it improves outcomes for both the expectant patient, their baby, and the whole family unit. I am excited to bring my evidence-based knowledge to our patients to support their mental health in pregnancy and beyond”.
Sarah intends to complete her certification in 2024.
